This community-based project focuses on preserving the coral reefs and marine life around Pemuteran. Visitors can learn about the conservation efforts, participate in reef restoration activities, and enjoy snorkeling around the artificial reefs created by the project. Initiated in 2000, the Pemuteran Marine Conservation Project employs Biorock technology, which uses low-voltage electrical currents to stimulate coral growth on submerged metal structures. This method has successfully restored degraded reefs, creating one of the worlds largest and most successful coral reef restoration projects. The project has significantly enhanced marine biodiversity and fostered sustainable eco-tourism in the region.
