Lake Beratan, also known as Danau Bratan, is a picturesque lake located in Candikuning Village, Baturiti District, Tabanan Regency, Bali. Situated at an altitude of approximately 1,240 meters above sea level, the lake covers an area of about 3.8 square kilometers with depths reaching up to 22 meters. The cool mountain climate and misty conditions contribute to its serene ambiance. A prominent feature of Lake Beratan is the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, a significant Hindu Shaivite water temple constructed in 1633, dedicated to Dewi Danu, the goddess of water, lakes, and rivers. The temples unique architecture and its reflection on the lakes surface create a captivating sight, especially during sunrise and sunset.
