Besakih Temple, also known as the Mother Temple of Bali, is one of the most important and holiest Hindu temples on the island. It is located on the majestic Mount Agung, Balis highest and most sacred mountain, and is considered the spiritual center of Balinese Hinduism. The temple complex is not a single temple but rather a vast collection of temples, with over 80 shrines and altars, dedicated to various Hindu deities. The temple is about 1,000 meters above sea level, offering breathtaking views of the island.
