Bali Barat National Park, established in 1941, covers approximately 190 square kilometers, accounting for about 3% of Balis total land area. The parks diverse ecosystems include savannahs, mangroves, monsoon forests, coral islands, and mountains, with Gunung Patas being the highest peak at 1,412 meters. It was initially created to protect endangered species such as the Bali Starling and the wild banteng.
